What will make this site successful?

Apart from the fact that web and design is something I do day to day... the STYG site here serves a very different purpose. One in which I believe will require the efforts and contributions from each one in the group.
I personally think it takes about 5 mins to get someone bored in a website. Then they move onto something or somewhere else. It's quite unfortunate that people (more so youth) have such a short attention span. Attracting the right target group to visit, stay, contribute and re-visit requires a little brain juice from the site organisers (i.e - us).

The site has to offer something. Or I wouldn't be wasting my precious time.

1) Think Problems
Focus on the fact that we're reaching out young people.
A) Try to understand how they think.
B) Understanding what problems they have.

2) Think Solutions
A) Every page and every link has to serve it's purpose to do something; be it educate, inspire or address a need. If it's not doing anything worthy, it's not worth your effort to put it there in the 1st place.
B) Deliver your content in a clear manner. You'd be surprised at how confused people in the cyber world are. Don't assume that if you can understand what your wrote, means everyone else should. Always get a trust-worthy second read from someone else. Good Content is King!
C) Try to make the site a two way platform. There's always joy in both giving and receiving.

As the points state, there's a lot that goes through in the thought process. No one said it was easy in the 1st place.
